Mission Statement for .RATT Clan

I posted this in my first post in the .Ratt clan looking for recruits! thread on the PlayStation Forum. I thought it would be a good start to actually state what the .RATT Clan is and it's ideas. If you have any comments or suggestions please let me know and we can change or discuss the ideas.

The most important thing is that the members of the .RATT Clan are fun to play with, are active playing together with other members in public and clan matches as well as taking part in tournaments and they participate the clan's forums. If they're not playing with other members, providing their input into the clan and what they what activities the clan does and other clan matters then it really doesn't matter if there in the clan or not. A player's statics and KDR are not valued as much as how the player brings to the clan far as their involvement in the clan and how sociable they are with other clan members. We are not saying they have to make it to all the matches, play daily or even post daily on the forums but they should be play more often than not and occasionally post the clan's forums throughout the week.

The .RATT Clan is for all members and is not for just a particular individuals or group of individuals. This is none thing new we just want to make it clear how we feel how this clan should operate and we want every member to get everything they can possible want out of our clan that they want and more.

With that being said the .RATT Clan is focused on getting good clan members so it has a solid core of players on which it can build its foundation. From that point it can move on with the number of members that are in the Clan and other games the clan may participate in.

The way the .RATT Clan looks at being a Clan Officer or Moderator on the Clan's forums is that it is a privilege and honor that allows officer to serve the clan in making it the best possible clan for all members. The officers and moderators are there to serve the clan but it is not duty solely of them but of all members of the clan. The clan is as only strong as its weakest player and that is why we it is encourage that all members participate in all areas of clan activity.

Like it's been said by most members of our clan we want to play with people who are fun to play with and that they want to play in a clan setting. Hopefully these individuals are average or above average players but that is not the most important thing since we can all improve and get better. The most important thing about the .RATT Clan it that it is fun and enjoyable encounter playing along with fellow clan members that enriches your experience when playing Killzone 2 and on the PlayStation Network.

I don't care. I would like to see what the other members have to say about it and if they have anything they want to change or add to it. I just thought that it would be a good start for a mission statement for the clan. I don't have an issue with changing what it says and would love to make it better.

how about something like "we handle all tournaments and matches at ratt.roflforum.net"
or something

We can always do a list of rules and operations on how things are carried out. Like one rule could be all discussion and organization of clan matches and tournaments are handle on the Clan's website http://ratt.roflforum.net or something like that.

Hey, I was just asked this and couldn't answer. What is the origin of the clan name RATT?

Isn't the clan named after the 80s hair metal band of the same name? Could be wrong there but I thought that was the reason behind it.

not sure. But I like the message in their famous song "round'n'round".

Every time I see the sig for the clan or the clan name, I constantly have that song going on in my head.

By the way, I like the sounds of OP. Really makes me feel good about this clan and the possibility of joining it.

Yeah, we have some really cool and talented members. Glad we share a common interest in this clan.

I'm 99.9999999999% that the clan is named after the 8o's hard rock band RATT. dkramer, BJD66 and myself started the clan one night after some conversations on the PlayStation Forums and roughly a month later here we are. Originally dkramer wanted to name it OmNomNom but was flexible with the name and BJD66 came up with RATT and I didn't care long as it wasn't something stupid or whatever. RATT was taken so we ended up taking .RATT instead which I think might have been dkramer idea.

I'm not sure on somethings in life but I do know thing we have a great foundation to our clan and this is only the beginning of great things to come.

PS: I'm a mod on these here forums so keep on the subject or I'll have dkramer talk to you!

Yeah .RATT comes from my favorite '80's band of the same name. Saw them in concert with Mamma's Boys and Bon Jovi one summer....back in the day. They even had some songs make it into some movies....Golden Child (Eddie Murphy) and Point Break ( Patrick Swazye)...great riffs, catchy lyrics, and they effing rocked!!! Invasion of your privacy....Dancing under cover..just a couple of their real good records.

Plus I just liked the logo.
